Great generations rarely come from longer prompts. They come from clearer ones. When every adjective competes for attention, the model averages them into something polite and forgettable.
Start with the subject
Name what must be recognizable first: the product, person, or scene. Then place it in space. “Ceramic bottle on marble” beats “beautiful aesthetic product photography vibes” every time.
Add light and camera
- Light: soft daylight, rim light, overcast, studio softbox
- Lens feel: shallow depth of field, wide environmental, tight crop
- Mood: quiet, editorial, high-contrast, warm
Two lighting cues and one camera cue are usually enough. Past that, you often introduce contradictions, harsh noon sun and softbox glow in the same line.
A simple formula
Example: “Matte black perfume bottle on wet stone, soft side light, shallow depth of field, editorial product still.” Short, ordered, and easy to revise.
Iterate in layers
Change one variable per generation: swap the surface, then the light, then the crop. You will learn what the model responds to for your brand instead of rewriting everything from scratch.
Treat prompts like art direction notes, not a shopping list of buzzwords.
Save what works
When a prompt nails your look, keep it. Build a small library of brand-safe openings for packaging, lifestyle, and social formats. Consistency is a creative advantage.
